Titleimage: Institute of Anatomy

The Institute of Anatomy belongs to the medical faculty of the university of Bern. Its scope of duties comprise preclinical teaching in human, dentist and veterinary medical curricula as well as in many other paramedical fields. Research topics include base science in the fields of skeletal and smooth muscle, the lung and its development, particle interactions in the lung, stereology and others.

SASRO GRANT 2023 to our colleague Verdiana Trappetti

Our colleague Verdiana Trappetti was awarded with the SASRO Grant 2023. Every year the Scientific Association of Swiss Radiation Oncology (SASRO) is awarding one or more reaserch grants to research projects of young SASRO members (under 35 years of age) working in Switzerland. For 2023 there was one grant of 5000.- CHF available and it was awarded to Verdiana Trappetti.

Inauguration of the High End Cryo-Electron Microscopy Facility

We celebrated the new cryo-TEM Titan Krios G4 and the new cryo-FIBSEM Aquilos 2 from Thermofisher Sci in presence of Prof. Werner Kühlbrandt (MPI Biophyiscs, Frankfurt), the Rector, the Vice-Rector Research, the Dean of the Medical Faculty and several distinguished external guests.
